FAQ

Short answers. Longer ones are on the other pages.

What it is

What does TelePost actually do?

It telephones you, interviews you for about ten minutes, and turns what you said into a draft article in your own words — with artwork and captions to go with it. You read it, change anything you want, and decide whether it goes out.

Does it write the article for me, or from me?

From you. The write-up is told to invent nothing: every claim in a draft has to trace back to something you said on the call. If you did not say enough for the length asked for, it writes a shorter piece rather than padding it out.

Will TelePost post to my social accounts?

No. Publishing puts the piece on your own TelePost blog and hands you a share sheet. Every post to LinkedIn, X or anywhere else is you pressing a button. There is deliberately no code path that posts on your behalf.

The calls

When does it call?

By default at 09:30, Monday to Friday, in your own timezone. You can change the time, the days and the timezone in Settings.

Can I start a call myself instead of waiting?

Yes. The dashboard has Interview me now, which picks a story first, and We’ll do it Live!, which rings you straight away with no story and no script.

What is the setup call?

A one-off interview about you rather than about a story — what you would happily talk about for an hour, what you are tired of hearing about, and what TelePost should never ring you about. It is what makes later calls specific to you. It comes back as a draft profile you confirm; a model’s read of a ten minute call does not get to be the last word on your life.

Money

What does it cost?

Every feature is in every plan. The only difference is how often the phone rings.

  • Weekly — $19 a month, one call a week.
  • Three a week — $49 a month, three calls a week.
  • Six a week — $119 a month, six calls a week.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 14 days. You enter your card when you subscribe, nothing is charged for 14 days, and after that it renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel any time before then and you pay nothing.

What happens if I cancel?

Calls stop. There is no free allowance — TelePost’s whole cost is the phone call.

What keeps running is the part other people can see. Your published articles stay live for 90 days after the subscription ends — the same addresses, the same feeds — because you sent readers there and they should not find a dead link the day your card expires.

At the end of those 90 days the account and everything in it is deleted: articles, drafts, transcripts, the lot. That cannot be undone. You are emailed three warnings first — at 30 days, 7 days and the day before — and subscribing again at any point stops it with nothing lost. If you would rather keep a copy, every article can be copied out before then.

Can I have my data deleted now, rather than waiting?

Yes. Ask us and it is done.

How do I change plan or cancel?

Billing, then Change plan, card, or cancel. That opens Stripe’s own portal, which handles the proration so you are credited for what you have already paid.

Your recordings and your words

Are the calls recorded?

Yes, and the recording is kept for 30 days. It exists so a draft can be checked against what was actually said — a transcript is a guess, and where it mis-hears a name there is nothing in the text to catch it. After that it is deleted, and it is deleted sooner once the piece is published.

Is anything published without me?

No. A draft sits as a draft until you publish it.

Signing in

Can I sign in with Google or LinkedIn?

Yes, both, from the sign-in page or when creating an account. If you already have a TelePost account on the same address, signing in that way links to it rather than making a second one — but only when the provider says the address is verified.

I have forgotten my password.

Use Forgot password. The link it emails is good for an hour and can be used once. Resetting a password also signs out every other session on the account.

Still stuck

Something is wrong and it is not here.

Try Troubleshooting, and if that does not cover it, write to us — the form and the Telegram bot both reach a person.
