Getting started

Six steps. The first four take a few minutes and you only do them once; after that TelePost phones you and the rest is reading and pressing publish.

Everything below is on your dashboard as a checklist too, under Before TelePost can call you. The order matters: the setup interview is a phone call, so there has to be a number to ring before it can happen.

  1. Create an account

At telepost.ai/join, with an email address and a password, or with Continue with Google or Continue with LinkedIn. If you signed up from the pricing page, you are taken to Stripe for the plan you chose after this; the card is entered there, not here.

  2. Add the number TelePost should call

Dashboard → Add number, or your avatar → Profile → How TelePost reaches you. Pick your country and type the rest; it is stored as a full international number. This is the one thing a phone call cannot collect for you, which is why it comes first.

  3. Save TelePost to your phone

Dashboard → Get the card, or /app/contact. Point your phone’s camera at the QR code there and choose Save as New Contact — tapping Done only closes the preview and saves nothing.

This is not housekeeping. A call from an unknown number at the same time every morning is a call that gets screened, and a screened call is a morning with nothing written.

  4. Let TelePost interview you

Dashboard → Call me now, or your avatar → Profile → Be interviewed. It rings you straight away — this one call ignores your calling hours on purpose, because you just asked for it. Ten minutes on the phone, and it is about you rather than about a story: what you would happily talk about for an hour, the opinion your own field would argue with, what you are tired of, and what TelePost should never ring you about.

It is deliberately not a form read aloud. You do not have to prepare anything, and you can do it from a car park.

What comes back is a draft profile, not a finished one. It appears on the same page under Here is what it heard; read it, correct anything, and press This is right — save it. A model’s read of a ten minute call does not get to be the last word on your working life.

If you miss the call nothing rings back — press the button again. You can also re-run it later, from the same page, whenever the profile stops describing you.

  5. Take the morning call

By default 09:30, Monday to Friday, and TelePost will not ring outside 08:00–22:00 in your timezone whatever else is set.

You change all of that under your avatar → Profile → How TelePost reaches you, in the card headed When TelePost may call — the time, the days, the timezone, the outer hours, and what happens if you do not pick up. It is not on the Settings page.

You do not have to wait for the appointment. The dashboard has Interview me now, which opens a list of today’s stories so you can read one before deciding — nothing rings until you press Call me now on the one you picked. Beside it is We’ll do it Live!, which calls straight away with no story and no script, for when you already know what you want to say.

  6. Read it, change it, publish it

The draft lands under Articles. Open it and you can edit any part of it in place — the words are yours and the editor treats them that way.

Publishing puts the piece on your own TelePost blog at /your-name/blog/the-article and hands you a share sheet. It does not post to LinkedIn, X or anywhere else; every one of those is you pressing a button.

What happens after that

Nothing you have to set up. The calls carry on at the time you picked, the drafts arrive under Articles, and you publish the ones worth publishing. When you want to go further:

Stuck on one of these? Troubleshooting covers the ones that go wrong, and a person will read a message.
